Plastic Laminate SamplesPlastic Laminates

Laminates are available in hundreds of colors, patterns and woodgrains. Plastic laminate is made from layers of resin-impregnated kraft paper, topped with a decorative melamine surface, then pressed into sheets under extreme pressure and heat. Plastic laminate is one of the most durable, beautiful and easy to care for materials. Plastic laminate is available in different grades and finishes. Examples of different grades are, standard – general purpose, postforming, static dissipative – ESD, and chemical resistant. Examples of finishes are matte or suede, polished or gloss, sparkle and many textured finishes.

Wood VeneerWood Veneers and Solid Wood

Our standard species of wood used are oak and maple, both are hardwoods which are more dense and durable. Many other species of wood are available. Veneers are sliced in different ways for distinctive types of grain. Veneers are applied to a core panel for strength. Solids wood is available in different thicknesses and grades. Maple wood has a tight grain with a fine texture, unusually straight. Maple has a creamy white color often tinged with pink or pale reddish brown tones. Oak wood has a straight grain with a course texture. Oak wood ranges from white to light brown in color with golden, reddish tones.

Plywood

Hardwood plywood is composed of inner plys joined together with adhesive to create a single panel. Plywood is strong because of its unique cross-layered structure. The adhesives in plywood are actually stronger than the wood itself.

particle boardParticleboard

Particleboard is a composite panel product consisting of wood fibers and particles of various sizes that are bonded together with synthetic resin adhesives under heat and pressure. The board is sanded to an extremely smooth, tight and grainless surface on both sides.

MDF

MDF panel is manufactured from wood fibers combined with a synthetic resin or other bonding system. MDF is manufactured with a minimum density of 497 kg/m3 (31 lb / cu ft) up to 881 kg/m3 (55lb / cu ft) by the application of heat and pressure, a process in which the fiberboard is substantially created by the added adhesive system.

Melamine

Melamine panels consist of melamine resin saturated decorative papers, thermally fused under heat and pressure to a particleboard or MDF substrate. The thermally fused melamine process permanently bonds the paper and the board.

Solid SurfacesSolid Surfaces

Felling Products is a certified solid surface fabricator. We use solid surfacing material that is made of acrylic or polyester. Both materials are versatile and can be joined, shaped and finished. Solid surface materials have consistent color and patterning throughout the material. We can also furnish quartz and granite solid surfaces.
